Ashok and Ashok look on while the daughter-in-law keeps it going!! The friends – both called Ashok – started selling mutton and chicken curry made in desi ghee. The buddies are now a picture frame. But they got the mantra so right that they are often sold out in a couple of hours. One plate of chicken curry or mutton curry costs Rs 300. Rotis come free. Most importantly, mutton is made only on Wednesday and Saturday. And it sells out much faster than the chicken. Actually, it was all gone in ten minutes if memory serves me right. It was fantastic. By the time we thought of asking for one more plate it was all gone. Open for lunch only. One of the many culinary delights of Sadar Bazaar!
